There was the 14th WAIMH congress in Edinburgh and we Finns were well presented here. Also there was quite a number of Theraplay people attending and on Sunday Bettie Sleeuw from Netherlands arranged a joint dinner for us. In one table there were Theraplay therapists from Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Japan and Australia. A good evening, tasty food and inspiring company. Thanks to Bettie for the organizing. There were a lot more Theraplay people in the conference than were at the dinner, but unfortunately one can´t point them out from the attendee list.
Theraplayta kongressissa esittelivät ruotsalaiset kolleegat Britta Sundberg & Anna-Rosa Perris: Theraplay & MIM: a presentation of a playful attachment-based therapy. Valitettavasti en päässyt sitä kuulemaan, sillä samaan aikaan oli symposium, jossa Saara Salo puhui: Emotional availability intervention with mothers and infants/ toddlers suffering form early feeding difficulties and allergic symptoms.
Kongressista ja Edinburghista olisi toki paljon muutakin kerrottavaa, mutta loma häämöttää mielessä ja säästän maisemat ja turistisemmat jutut toiseen postaukseen. Lopuksi kuva Colwyn Trevarthenista vastaanottamassa René Spitz palkintoa.
There could so much said about the congress and Edinburgh but I will save more touristy stuff for another post. Final picture here is Colwyn Trevarthen accepting René Spitz Award.
